If you are looking for simple and easy hummus recipes, then this book is for you. I have made several of these recipes now and I really think it was a great buy on my part. I will definitely say this will be one of my go-to books now and in the future.
I liked this book as it has showed me how to make different hummus not just the plain ones.
If you are like me and like hummus and only think it can be plain then this book is for you.
It gives you recipes with a bit of flavour and I now have the idea to try others.
If you love hummus this is a good easy to use guide for some variations to try as a starting point. I liked that it lets you know you can use peanut butter and yogurt in place of tahinni and you can make it without tahinni also. I love hummus!
There are 16 different recipes, to get you started enjoying hummus. I have an Armenian friend who serves hummus on a regular basis, so I bought this book to learn how I can prepare it for myself and to serve to others (including my Armenian friend). I have not tried out every recipe, but I will.
If you love hummus this is the book for you. Personally love it with pickle relish added, but that's not in the book. I would say just about every other variation is included. The pumpkin variation is the one to try first if you love pumpkin. Something for every taste. Enjoy the book and the food.
Being new to hummus, I appreciated learning the methods for buying and preparing chick peas for hummus. The variety of recipes is a good foundation for my cooking repertoire and healthy, too. I can definitely recommend this book. The only thing I would have liked is a few more recipes, but there really are enough to keep me busy for awhile.
The price (free when I got it) caught my eye, and I had been planning on trying my own hummus anyway. Since getting this book, I have made several batches of very tasty hummus. And, I was shocked at the difference in price between making it myself and buying it at the store. Comparing organic to organic, making it myself is probably 1/10 or less the cost of buying it.
This book starts with the basics and then adds in variations. I have done my own variations as well. Once you know the basics, variations are easy.
Hummus is healthy and easy to make. This book is a great way to get started.
